Hello @sepdvm and always a pleasure to meet a veterinarian. Had to do vet work with a foal birth one time and have bowed to your profession ever since including the time a vet pulled an infected tooth I once had in a place with no dentist. He did a great job despite cats and dogs making racket in the adjoining rooms.
Anyway your medical background is a great asset to this circus and thanks for letting us get to know you a bit better.

What a great vet story! First time I've heard that experience though there is a lot of joking about practicing on humans. Thank you from the veterinary profession for your compliment. My dad had the same free fibular transplant that you did, but back in the early 90s at The Ohio State University Cancer Center. That was a pretty innovative surgery back then. Unfortunately he was much older with many years of smoking and his cancer was not controlled despite the radical surgery and radiation/chemo. So glad you have had great success with it.
