@roseyd

I have tried magnesium but it gives me severe heartburn. I started taking it after my back surgery along with a lot of other meds which I know longer take. I need to give it another try. Seeing my primary next week and will discuss with her. Thanks for your input.

Try taking it with plenty of food in your stomach. Don't ever take it on an empty stomach.

Be sure you take it with plenty of food in your stomach.

You might want to try Magnesium Glycinate. Much kinder on the guts and easily absorbed in the system.
I buy Pure Encapsulations brand. I had to take large amounts of Mag after my bone marrow transplant. One of the meds I was on would deplete it from my system quickly. Other forms of magnesium really messed up my tummy and caused nasty surprises. 😳 So I checked with my team pharmacist and he okayed the Mag Glycinate. 4 years later, I still take 1 capsule daily by choice. I sleep well and it appears to be helping with bone density along with vit D and calcium supplements. My husband had restless leg syndrome and finally took my nagging suggestion to “Just give it a try!” and now he’s a daily user. It did help him. I hope you find relief.
