Best pet friendly hotels in Rochester, MN

Looking for the best pet friendly hotels that are connected to Mayo Clinic Rochester. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Thnx .

We have an older dog and have stayed at the Staybridge Inn and Suites in NW Rochester. Friendly staff, full kitchens, clean suites, great restaurants, and a Mayo Clinic shuttle.

Hello, our hotel reservations are in June. I just called our hotel to verify reservations and they said pet fee is $100 per night. Is that pretty much the case for most hotels? We want to stay close to Mayo as it is our first time there. Thanks for your reply!

Hi, I just answered my own question. There are wonderful highly rated pet hotels that charge $10/night and allow 80 lb. limit dogs! I canceled that hotel that charges $100/per night. Thanks!

The Marriott Residence Inn is located at:
441 W Center Street, Rochester
507-292-1400

The hotel is about 2 blocks from the clinic. The rooms are a little dated but it’s clean with friendly and helpful staff. It’s connected directly to the clinic via the subway walking system.
Super convenient if you have breaks between appts to walk back to your apartment to veg out. When you’re in the elevator the S button will take you to the Subway level and a quick left and you’re walking your way to the Clinic inside away from the weather.

There is indoor parking (for a fee) or outdoor parking.
Each room has either a kitchenette or full kitchen. We stay there every time we return to Rochester for followups.

FYI - Courtyard Rochester Mayo Clinic, 161 13TH AVE. SW, web site says no No Pet Allowed. Better call hotel directly if thinking about bringing a pet.

You might want to call Hotel Indigo directly and ask about constructions. I have seen constructions vehicle in front of hotel lately. Neither hotel has much green space by hotel if pet prefers to do it's business on grass. Kahler Grand is right across street from Mayo clinic, Hotel Indigo is few blocks away if that makes a difference.

Like all "pet friendly" hotels, I would call directly and ask policy and additional charge. Do not rely on what web site says.

Laurie!! Ty for your info !! I decided on the kahler as it is closer which will be awesome so if I want to check on my pet in between appointments it will be a few blocks closer which could be crucial with time frame of appointments. Hope your health is going well I'm looking forward to going and finding out more on mine have a great day and thanks again
