Step-down or home health post Whipple
Waiting to find out if I'll be having Whipple at Mayo Jax. I do not have a caregiver and am wondering if Mayo has a program for extended stay, step-down care and home health care until I can drive, lift, etc on my own.

Hello @jaxcharlotte. I wish I was more familiar with the Florida campus, but in Rochester, we have a service called Visiting Angles. We often give there information out to patients that need the same support that you are looking for. I see there is one in the Jacksonville area. It might be an option and they may be able to meet patients that are recovering in a hotel, if that is where you would be staying after surgery. Here is their website for branch that is located in the Jacksonville area.
