Husband, 71, given one year at best...

He went through hormone therapy, chemo, radiation and Enzalutamide and now there's a small chance of temporary improvement with new chemo and radiation. God helps us all🙏🙏🙏

My ex husband did not realize he had Prostate Cancer until he collapsed on the street with a broken back (from the cancer spread) a PSA of over 2200 and spread to multiple organs. He lived another 3 years with treatment. I don't understand the "less than a year". Prayers are with you.

You bet, there is hope!! My ex did not have prostate removed due to the extent of the spread, however, this was 10 years ago. They have come a long way since then. He was active, traveled, and lived a relatively full life once they got him back on his feet after the bones in his back were taken care of. Get second opinions if necessary. We knew of several individuals who had Stage 4 and had been living with it for many years. Attitude is important, so, be determined to get the right treatment and live your life.

Thank you Darlynn,
You are right. Both previous oncologist and my breast surgeon l see for check ups got rather upset when l told them. Breast surgeon said he can't count the cases of people being alive and kicking five years later!! Besides, l have the feeling this she-oncologist who is supposed to be professionally fantastic, might be a little bit too full of herself... lnstead of motivating the patient - while maintaining a realistic approach, of course - she distroys him...
