Has anyone noticed that their hair has hardly grown and thinned out after Covid? Texture is very dry and dull.

Yes, that happened to me after Covid in March 2021. Have your iron and ferritin checked; you may need to go on a prescription for ferrous sulphate.

Thank you!

I have definitely noticed this....at the moment using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner plus scalp therapy. Not seeing 3improvement. Trying a violet shampoo hair stylist recommended to help my gray, which is about 20% of my hair, to make it shinier. That has helped some and I use it to every other washing. Overall I am still discouraged.

Thank you for your response. Hoping things improve for us eventually.

Yes. I (a 73 year old man) have had a bald spot on the back of my head for decades. After getting covid last June, the hair on the top of my head began to fall out.

I had significant hair loss post-Covid. I had COVID in August 2020. I still suffer from side effects. I got a medication from my Dermatologist called Finasteride. It has helped significantly. Contact a Dermatologist and ask if they have a staff member who specializes in hair and nails. I have a friend who had the same good result from taking Finasteride.

Thank you for your response!

I have had my hair fall out mostly on left side of the back of my head. have seen dermatologist and she said it was permanent and nothing she could suggest except to see that I have good nutrition , [I do] take a complete vit B complex and massage the area to improve circulation and to do mild head movements also to increase circulation. I had COVID-19 on Nov 1st 2021 and was very ill. I did have MD support with an anti-viral med. I get tired very easily. My MD says that this symptom should abate after a year or two.
