Hi @katiesp ,
I am 27.I am also experiencing same. Racing thoughts , dreaming extensively everyday for years now every night.I have lost my job few months ago and I think due to this condition i can't decide what to do, not able to focus on anything.Feeling like I am living a dual life, I dont think i can tell this to family members as they will think I am making excuses, or is this something that happens with everyone. Dont know . Can you please tell me if You have found any solution to this..

I also don't know if it is related but in 2020 I was diagnosed with ADHD. I suffer with racing thoughts etc. During the day and it appears my brain is over active day and night, it might be worth you looking into whether you have a neurodivergent condition - I have posted another comment just a few moments ago that changing my diet , ensuring I don't go over my calories, doing at least 30 minutes walking and increasing my water intake to at least 2 litres and I have noticed an improvement in just a few days.
