I have a 5cm simple renal cyst. Is this large?

I don't know if 5 cm is considered large, but a simple renal cyst is nothing to worry about according to the doctors I've seen. I have a complex renal cyst and I go for an ultrasound every year. The doctor told me half of people over age 50 have renal cysts and they're no big deal.

Nice to meet you! I have a renal complex cyst too. In addition to your annual ultrasounds, did they ever use contrast or MRI imaging to determine if the complex cyst was pre-cancerous, or are they just monitoring the complex cyst each year for any growth using ultrasound with out contrast? Thanks!

Just a ct scan without contrast had to drink the dye no other issues

The scan says as follows: No intrahapatic ductal dilatation or mass lessions, Mild fatty hepatic degeneration, spleen is unremarable, Adrenal glands normal, No solid or cystic pancreatic mass, no evidence of calcific cholelithtasis, no evidence of nephroleltisis, hydronephrosis, or obstruction.5cm size left renal cyst

Had my urinalysis dipstick. Everything came back ok except UA Blood 1+ is this something to be concerned about
