I know one other person who got the same info from their doctor as you, so you’re not alone! Prior to getting COVID, I had 20/20 vision and now - 13 months later with Long COVID - I need to wear glasses with a slight correction or I’ll get a headache or migraine (depending on what I’m doing without them on) and have trouble with balance/spatial awareness. My eyes get really dry too. Ophthalmologist said I had normal eyesight for someone my age (41) and didn’t note damage. I can see fine without them too, BUT it gives me those symptoms, so I need to wear them. Artificial tears help a bit, and it doesn’t seem to be getting worse, so it’s probably due to the central sensitization underlying the Long COVID.
