I am just over two months from having my pacemaker put in. I woke up one night with a burning sensation by my incision area plus a horrible feeling of my skin feeling tight. My doctor said my incision was still warm and swollen so continued my restrictions. My burning sensation is getting worse, literally wakes me up at night. Can’t get comfortable to fall asleep and to put on a bra, FORGET IT. My doctor thinks it is going to take me longer to heal due to my fibromyalgia. Anyone else have any recommendations, I literally think about the pain and bringing all day! I go see my cardiologist next week.

Sounds like you’ve got an infection. Did they give you antibiotics? You know your own body, keep at it to get some answers. You are your own best advocate.

I have the same issue. I am only a month and 1/2. I am very thin, and you can see the whole pacemaker shape everything. Clothing is hurtful even taking deep breath or moving is hurtful. I have bought several types of bras trying to find one that does not rub on it. I Pray that it will get better over time or less painful. Any suggestions or comments.

New to site. My name is Jimmy, 62
Had PM surgery May 30. 10 weeks yesterday. followed all instructions no lifting , golf swimming for six weeks plus. slowly started to get back to activities. played a few rounds ( maybe 3 rounds) of golf, exercise on bike, hit some balls at range, all with no issues. Felt good. Just this week when I lie down I have that burning pinching pain around site towards shoulder. when I stretch I feel the pain. now I am back to being gingerly about my movements. my question is; Is this what I have to look forward to? Did your situation get better after mare time? Doctor said after 6 weeks I would be able to do whatever I did before. I called the doctor and got the nurse. She said it is most likely muscular related, also said if there was a problem the monitor would have picked it up.
