What do these results mean?? Hypothyroidism here

REPORT:

PROCEDURE: US THYROID

DATE AND TIME: 5/11/2023 8:16 AM EDT

CLINICAL HISTORY: 46 years old Female with enlarged thyroid on exam.

COMPARISON: CT soft tissue neck on 4/9/2023.

TECHNIQUE: Multiple longitudinal and transverse high-resolution
sonographic images of the thyroid gland were obtained. Doppler was
applied as indicated.

FINDINGS:

The right lobe measures 3.3 x 0.7 x 0.6 cm, the left lobe measures 2.9 x
1.3 x 0.8 cm, and the anteroposterior dimension of the isthmus measures
1 mm.

The thyroid gland is of normal echogenicity. There are no thyroid
nodules.

Normal vascularity is noted in the gland.

IMPRESSION:

Moderately atrophic thyroid gland.
No thyroid nodules identified.

It sounds like it means that they did not find cancer and your thyroid gland has atrophied…..which goes along with having hypothyroidism.
