Bringing up mucus - Does AirPhysio work?

Posted by Arlo @equanimous, May 9, 2023

I have bronchiectasis and MAC. I had a bad night last night despite doing huff coughing, laying in bed with pillows under my bottom, legs bent, head slightly off bed and chest percussion. I could not get the mucus up and I wound up coughing all night long. I did an internet search asking which is better acapella or aerobika and came across a product called AirPhysio.
I am wondering if anyone has used it and if you feel it is effective or better than Acapella or Aerobika. Thank you for your feedback.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I nebulize with 3% saline and vest 2x day.

I stopped using an air physio because it can't be boiled if I remember correctly. I use an aerobika.

I have tried AirPhysio, Acapella and Aerobika. I find Aerobika by far the most effective.

When I have a difficult time getting relief because I know the gunk is in there but I just can't get it up and out, I turn to Mucinex 600 mg (guaifenesin)--work great. I don't use it regularly but I hear some folks do. It's over the counter. Hope this helps.

Thank-you for your reply I have used a acupella for about a year now, and seems to work okay at times but not great. I do have an Areobika that was given to me by Mayo Clinic Jacksonville to try, I hope I notice a bug difference in effectiveness also. Where did you get your Areobika?

I bought it on ebay. I’ve thought of asking doctors for prescription, but time always feels short and other questions more important.
