Hi @USR_chd885258,
Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. It looks like your message was cut off mid-stream. You were saying that you had a radical prostatectomy 10 years ago. And your PSA levels have changed recently?
Hello Collen,
Thank you for your prompt reply. As I wrote in my last message I had RP 10 years ago and I have been tested my PSA level since then every 6 months. The results until the last one was
The levels of my PSA over the last 10 years were 0.004 checked every 6 mionths the last one was 0.01. Do I have to worry? What do I have to do?
Your question is a good one.
Mayo Clinic's Dr. Todd B. Nippoldt answered a similar question "What causes PSA levels to increase after prostate removal due to prostate gland enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia)?" Here is his answer http://www.mayoclinic.org/prostate-cancer/expert-answers/faq-20058463
Sounds like scheduling an appointment with your doctor might be a good next step. What do you think?
Thanks, That what I am going to do-meeting my doctor.
Great! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Feel free to check back in here when you have some answers.
Thanks? I'll be in touch
Hello!
I had a radical prostate cancer operation on January 7th last year, because the psa still has 0. 57, received endocrine therapy (one shot in June, September, December, 15 each month), and then psa decreased to 0. 57. Below 01.
The last time was on June 14 this year, the psa was checked for 0. 000。
But I've been incontinent since I got out of the hospital, and I'm doing anal training. It's been a year and a half now!
