@tersia If I am reading your posting correctly you found out that you are pregnant through a blood test but the ultrasound did not show a fetus? You’ve posted in the Gynecological Cancer support group. Are you worried about cancer? Or is there something else I can help you with?
Yes
family history Endrometesis Breast Cancer
My mom Lung cancer
i had cyst removed from left breast - Spread into breast margins came back cleared (in Novermber 2022)
@tersia Are you worried that the pregnancy test is a false positive (not accurate) for a pregnancy and that you have cancer? I had endometrial cancer diagnosed when I was 67years old. It was diagnosed by ultrasound (thickened endometrial lining of the uterus) and D & C. Have you talked about this with your doctor? Maybe another pregnancy blood test is needed and more follow-up?
Hi @tersia, I merged your 2 discussions of the same name into one discussion that appears in the Women's Health support group as well as the Fertility & Reproductive Health support group.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG or b-hCG) is a hormone that the placenta makes when a woman is pregnant. Certain cancer cells can also make it. You can read more here: https://cancer.ca/en/treatments/tests-and-procedures/human-chorionic-gonadotropin-hcg-or-b-hcg
When will you have the hCG test done?
