thank you for your response. but my "vertigo" isn't a room-spinning sensation. its more so a side-to-side front-to-back swaying feeling. I feel this whenever standing still or sitting up primarily. As far as medicine I cannot tell if meclizine helps. if it does, it's hardly much help. I also do not feel Nausea, mostly just hard to focus with my eyes, along with sometimes a numbness of hands or feet.

I have had both- spinning and the swaying. Recently I lost my balance getting out of bed, and had a sensation of not only being off balance but being pulled to the left.

My mother also had the side to side, front to back swaying. Again, a good PT with expertise in this can help tease out what is the likely cause and tailor treatment. The exercises for the swaying type are different than for the spinning type. Yes meclizine can make things worse.

Unfortunately sometimes the swaying thing is from something in the brain, and the exercises are for things going on in the ears/vestibular system.
