I don’t know how long you’ve been on Prolia but I believe the risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw increases the longer you are on a bisphosphonate, Prolia, or other med that lists ONJ as a potential side effect.
I learned this (and you can get more info about it) from Margie Bissenger’s “Happy Bones, Happy Life” 2/28/2023 episode with R. Keith McCormick interview about osteoporosis meds. It’s available on the internet or podcast. To date, I have found the episode the most helpful and useful info in trying to understand osteoporosis meds, though McCormick’s new book (and old one too) also is very helpful!

Thank you so very much for this information! I will check it out today and let you know! I have been on Prolia for about three years, my last dose was September 2022. I see my primary care doctor in a couple of weeks and am gathering as much information as I can to take to my appointment.
