Has anyone ever tried stem cell activators for osteoporosis?
I am very concerned about going on osteoporosis medicine. My mother, her mother, my grandmother both had renal failure. They were both diabetic but I'm not diabetic. I didn't realize until recently that renal failure has a strong genetic component. My doctors don't seem concerned but I am especially since by blood work in January showed high level of phorsus. I've had several compression fractures. Still trying to find an alternative to prescription drugs.

Good product. I have been taking for five years. All of the Garden of Life products are excellent.
Stem cells can be differentiated in many cell types, among them also in bone cells and in this way it can probably help patients like us. However, when I searched the literature, there are clinics in the US and Europe that offer stem cells therapy for knee arthritis, Crohn disease, Alzheimer, Parkinson. But I have not found any reference on osteoporosis. At the same time, there is an evidence about a possibility to activate stem cells in one's body and methods to do it include fasting, switching to healthy diet, using stem cells' activator supplements such as curcumin, coenzyme Q10, resveratrol, quercitin

This is very unspecific way as it is unknown if such supplements will influence stem cells' differentiation in bone cells. I shall continue my search about this vital issue.
This product is claimed to help the maintenance of bone and teeth:

I have no information on stem cell therapy for osteoporosis; however I have had stem cell regenerative treatment for knees and hip at the Regenerative Medicine Department at Mayo in Rochester with great results. I suggest a call to Mayo and ask for the Regenerative Therapy Deoartment to inquire.
Thank you for this information
Hello texasmimi, this information is important for me as well because my husband suffers terrible pains from arthritis (knee and hip). We are in Europe, but I shall try to find clinics for stem cell therapy here. Could you please tell me if it is possible to follow therapy simultaneously for knee and hip? How much time did it take for your to feel better?
Actually my last stem cell treatment a few years ago was done for both the left knee cartilage and left hip cartilage at the same appointment. The regenerative physician just withdrew enough blood to spin down for an ample amount of PRP (plasma Rich platelets). To re-inject into the joints. They combined the PRP with hyaluronic acid. They also did a local anesthesia to the area prior to the injection.
Do realize there must be enough cartilage left in the joint to build more cartilage in.
I have read that there is a trial of a “scaffolding@ with cells grown upon it then implanted, but I’m unsure where this is taking place.

Thanks for this information. It is very kind of you to reply so promptly!
I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis for several years now. I’m looking into buying a LIV ( low intensity vibration ) platform. From my research, the LIV stimulates stem cells in the bone marrow to become osteoblasts to generate new bone.
Thank you for this information. I will look into it too. Never heard of it
