Lower spine pain after robotic Prostate removal

I had prostate removed using the robotic assistant in April 2018. Before surgery I lifted weights and walked between 5 and 10 miles per day. I have been a cripple ever since. No explanation from surgeons or other docs I have visited. I have had chiropractic treatments and physical therapy with no help. Had injections and finally nerve burning done. Temp relief at best. Now looking into some sort of stimulator being surgically implemented. I am hesitant to do this. Anyone have any suggestions? Thx

Yes. Robotic, non nerve sparing , left him with 100% incontinence. He has Stage III a. From that day forward not a single night without the back pain. Must be he does not complain hard enough because his doctors do not "hear". Finally we got to to the point to "install" artificial sphincter, since he does not feel the need to go to the bathroom.

That is so sad. I have no problem in that area but I can’t really walk any more. Pain is just horrible.

Did anyone tell him what went so horribly wrong? I get no answers.

No. Not a word. All the surgeon said to me after, was that the prostate with lymph nodes around was unexpectedly large, therefore it took 7 hours to operate. The back pain, the screwed up bowl movement, 100% incontinence, sometimes nausea, always tiredness ( lack of testosterone) - that all came since day one and now already 2 years 2 month. He will never ask a word, I think he is from generation who think that doctor=God. I am different. I grew up under soviets, I am used to check and double check and do not trust everything I am told , another words, I double check if in doubt. Years ago his urologist he sees for years, missed one of his biopsies, missed means - he did not read the conclusion till the end and missed the part that says there is a probability of cancer. PSA was 34. Urologist sent him home and said no more biopsies, he is fine. He was not fine, I noticed a lot of symptoms, went to the office and ask all my husbands file. After reading it, I contacted the lawyer. He took the case. Meanwhile, cancer from probability grew to stage IIIa.

Oh my lord. I am not as bad off as he is for sure. God bless you both. Hope you win your law suit

Thousands times I am thinking of metastases. That would explain shortness of breath, nausea, pain ( last night his pain was like nothing before- soft tissue pain in upper leg)., sudden arrhythmia, etc.,etc. Half a year ago his PSA was close to undetectable, xrays of his bones of lower abdomen - no changes, bone scan - normal. Thank you for wishing me luck with law suit.

Mayo appointment was interesting. But I have decided to go for a SInal stimulator. Had a trial with good results. I hate it but surgery just seems way to risky.

There is a operation that fixes the incontinence and plugs the bladder till ready to eliminate

I had same with back pain 4 years radiation 40 days on prostate

my psa went up to 26 from <.01 MRI saw L2 had 1-inch metastatic PC

Intense radiation took it out 2 x 5 min,

Still back pain when I sleep on back PSA 1.2 but after 2 yrs up to 4.22

I am having my third week of back pain and cannot walk anymore after my robotic prostate removal procedure. My orthopedic gave me anti inflammatory and muscle relaxers and asked me to do Pt which is helping, but not sure how long this kind of injury will last and how to heal the injured nerve.
