Anyone using Breztri inhaler

Posted by Stella Tucson @fraytv, Apr 26, 2023

Is anyone with bronchiectasis using this inhaler & had good results? I have not used it before & now my dr wants me to try it. I have been using Breo for 8 years & have always been told by different pulmonologist how good it is. The pulmonologist I am now seeing wants me to use Anoro, he says Breo is not good for the lungs due to the steroids. My primary dr & another pulmonologist that I saw regarding the pseudomonas while in hospital now want me to try Breztri. I also nebulize with albuterol twice a day & 7% saline once a day. Would appreciate any feedback good or bad on Breztri. Thank you!

Search for "MAC ICS lung" There are papers that say there is a higher risk of MAC if
you use an ICS. Anoro does not have an ICS. I was on Trelegy, but switched to Anoro recently.
I do abuterol and 7% saline twice a day.
I like the idea of using mechanical means to keep the lungs clear.

I have MAC and Bronchiectasis. I was misdiagnosed and treated for asthma for years with all the medication for asthma, steroid inhalers and given prednisone and antibiotic frequently. When I was concerned I wasn't getting any better I changed Drs. He weaned me off all the inhalers. Ordered Brestri, neb with 3% saline and levabuterol. He ordered sputum culture and when they came back positive for MAC he sent me to a ID. We have decided not to treat Mac because of my age and because I am not sick. I have not felt this good in years
