nodgabnoj- I'm sorry for the confusion, I thought you were referring to using cilantro oil on the body for GD affected areas. Are you ingesting your oil? I tried swallowing cilantro oil capsules initially and had no success, but fresh or fresh frozen blended cilantro put it into dormancy for years and when future outbreaks initially begin, as they have now 3 years later, I drink blended cilantro for weeks until the skin goes calm. I just blend 1/2 bunch with some water and chug it down Simple.
Have you or others tried putting cilantro oil on the skin?

I did the fresh/frozen Cilantro for over two years and believe it was a great benefit as my itching eventually disappeared for quite awhile. At some point a couple of years ago I surmised that the oil must have the same chemical properties that the fresh does, so I started to use it. As I mentioned, I just had a recent, but relatively small, outbreak after a period of remission. I immediately started to take the oil again, but two droppers instead of one. I can say only this: my itching has been minimal and dissipated to the point that I use my Cortisone cream sparingly. I am, at least up to this point, quite fortunate. My initial outbreak a number of years ago was awful. However, it has never returned to that level of irritation and I seem to be able to control(?) it with the Cilantro oil. It is quite disturbing that so little is known about this disease that causes so much emotional pain and physical suffering. My heart goes out to those who deal with this on a daily basis in a far more serious way than I have experienced.
