I'm 81 and tomatoes have far, far too may benefits to eliminate from from my diet. For example: "Tomato is a wonderful anti-inflammatory food. They contain powerful anti-inflammatory nutrients like carotenoids and bioflavonoids. A small minority of people have sensitivities to nightshades but I would not be concerned about this unless you have noted symptoms related to them." And I believe they have more than 1500 known phytonutrients.
I wouldn't go by what Jake says!! I would trust food and herbs (supplements) before I'd trust any doctor who want to pump you up with drugs and their side effects for a quick remedy and which create other problems. God made the body to heal itself and provided plants and food for us to heal ourselves, we don't need drugs which do more harm than good!!!!!
It may be helpful to google "night shades"....Dr. Gundry didn't create this information, it's been known for many years....they are foods that cause inflammation in the joints.....you could always try not eating the foods on that list for 3 months or so...and see if you feel any different.....hope that helps....
@millerdust most of these long winded e-commercials and articles are click baits at best, cash grabs at worst. Watching those videos is a total waste of time - and money, if you get roped into buying the products, too. The only person who benefits from them is the “doctor” or “nutritionist”.
