Hi Gabe, I have been having exactly the same issue, diagnosed with GERD due to LES dysfunction, inflammation in nasal passage and sinus issue, iron and Vitamin B12 deficiency (but that I believe is due to the raberperazole medication I am on). It's been 3 months since it started happening, at first I thought it is something related to lungs and then we narrowed it down to my inflammation in nasal passages then found out that I have GERD due to LES dysfunction. I myself try to gulp air and have shortness of breath, I am glad to find someone facing the same issue because so far I have been to 7-8 physicians, including Gastroenterologist, ENT, etc. Let me know if we can connect somehow and talk more about it.
