Amyloidosis symptoms, negative fat pad biopsy?
I have shortness of breath, neuropathy, enlarged tongue, carpal tunnel syndrome, bruising under eyes.

@cgerwig66 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I understand you were recently diagnosed with MGUS, and are now concerned you may have amyloidosis? Have your providers made an type of comment that would lead you to think that, or have they done any testing for it? As for the bruising under your eyes, is it possible you are not getting quality rest due to worry and this is causing discoloring?

The reason they suspected amyloids is I have trouble breathing, carpal tunnel, enlarged tongue, and neuropathy. And just started getting bruising under eyes get plenty of sleep had fat pad biopsy and bone biopsy both negative for amyloidosis

They are doing a kidney biopsy. Was hard to convince doctor he was very much against doing one .

When will you have the kidney biopsy?
It will probably take a couple of months to get scheduled. They are doing an echocardiogram today
