What helps post COVID shortness of breath?
Hydrochlaquid: Spelling is iffy at best. I wonder if this drug would provide relief from post COVID shortness of breath?

As far as Covid treatment: the monoclonal antibodies do not work on these latest variants. Paxlovid started right away is the main treatment now.
I am also looking for relief from shortness of breath due to LC. (Of course, it would be helpful if docs knew the underlying cause, but they don't.) Asked PCP for acupuncture referral. PCP thinks it will help with the fatigue. I will see if it helps with that and/or the shortness of breath. Looking for other treatments that have worked for others. Thnx.
When I get short of breath A) I sit down and rest, B) I lay down to n my stomach if possible, C) if I’m really desperate I use my inhaler - albuterol. I try really hard not to use this because it guarantees to give me a four or five day migraine
My PCP is a Naturopathic Doctor. She added NAC and Quercetin to my daily regiment of supplements. I had Covid Pneumonia with Myocarditis. As of February ( 15 months dealing with long Covid ) I finally feel somewhat normal. I don’t think I’ll ever be 100%. Shortness of breath is no longer an issue but once every few weeks I still seem to be tired for no reason.
It is so good to hear that someone has pulled out of this nightmare. I am just starting to have periods of feeling okay again. It is short term but makes me think I can someday live again. I have been sick for 2 long years. Vaccine really did me in as I take an immune suppressive drug for an organ transplant. That interaction has not been studied. For ME it was a mistake. They are at War 2X a day for hours after I take the mandatory drug for transplant. It tells my body to suppress immune system and vaccine tells it to REV up. Feel so horrible. You have given me HOPE. Without it you have very little. Thank you.
Great to hear that you are feeling "somewhat normal"! Were the NAC and Quercetin added specifically to address the shortness of breath....and did they? Or were they for LC symptoms in general?
What is your dosage on the NAC and Quercetin? I've had shortness of breath since Covid two years ago. I am taking NAC, 600 mg, two times per day but I can't say that I've noticed any improvement, unless the improvement was just so negligible that it was unnoticeable to me.
The NAC (750 mg ) was added for the shortness of breath and for the restriction in my lungs keeping me from taking a full breath. The Quercetin ( 500 mg ) was for LC. I attributed the restriction in my lungs as part of LC. I also take Nordic Naturals ultimate omega 2X ( 3 a day ), Magnesium Citrate ( 210 mg 3 a day ), a multi vitamin ( 2 a day ),Super Bio vitamin C ( 2 a day ), Nordic Naturals DHA ( 830 mg 2 times a day ), CoQ-10 ( 100 mg 1 a day ) and B-50 Complex ( 1 a day ).
