Anyone have any nebulizer recommendations?

Posted by marlin @marlin, Nov 3, 2021

Does anyone have any nebulizer recommendations. Would like something compact and easy to clean. Also any online sites that people recommend to get your supplies such as nebulizer and saline vials from? briefly looking it seems like there are a lot of options and they are fairly inexpensive.

Thank you! I just got a lot of helpful info from him (though, still very overwhelming, 2 weeks in to the Bronchiectasis diagnosis). Would you mind sharing what filter you use? Thanks!

Sorry, not at home to look. It is at the tap in my house, underneath the sink, with filters changed per instruction every 2 month. The prefilter is 1.0 micron, the second .2 micron. That is all the precaution I take as far as water, other than to bring my own or drink bottled spring water when out.
I may have less concern because my water tested negative 3 years ago, it comes from at deep well, my water heaters are set at 135F, and I have methylobacter (??) mold that occasionally appears, which Dr. Falkinham says indicates absence of NTM.

This works for me, I have been off antibiotic therapy for over 3 years without a relapse. I rely on airway clearance, 7% saline, healthy diet, reasonable precautions and exercise to keep me safe.

In my 70's I am too busy jamming all I can into my life to spend my time boiling water or dealing with paraphenalia.

Other people may choose to follow a more cautious routine, especially if very ill or frail, but my body tells me clearly what I can and cannot do.

As you read here and elsewhere, evaluate your own situation and you will find a path that works for you.

Thank you, Sue.
It's all so helpful. Yes, I need to find balance, too. I am a busy working mom (thankfully, from home) of 2 busy teens, one who is home sick right now so that hat on (and mask!), too. I need to support my health without also making myself crazy - a balance!

I have the Ombra by Monaghan.

Very reliable. My daily machine. I use the Breath Actuated Nebulizing cups so that I do not put a lot of medication into my home environment.

Linda,
Do you use the Aerobika with the Ombra nebulizer?
Does it help get more nebulizing solution into your lungs and does it help bring up more mucous?
I am thinking of buying one
Thanks,
Sally

Hi S=
ally, I really like the system. Sometimes I use them in line and sometimes s=

Hi everyone -- based on the discontinuation of the Innospire, I orderd the Aura Portable Nebulizer with Vibrating Mesh Technology. It isn't quite as great (two parts to wash instead of one, must be plugged it, no beep to alert you to stop) but overall it is as close a product as I have found. About the same size and takes about the same amount of time. If the Go was an A, this is an A-.
