Thank you for your response. No I am not going into A-Fib after about an hour.
The reason I do not take a beta blocker is I have a low resting pulse rate usually in the 50’s sometimes in the 40’s.
this is not due to any condition I was always told I have an athletic heart due to years of working out etc.
So a beta blocker would really slow me further.
Spoke to pharmacist, as well my daughter is a pharmacist and was told beta blocker is not always prescribed with flecainide it all depends. I would guess your resting pulse rate is higher. As well I can be in A-Fib with BPM in the 60’s or 70’s perhaps 80’s. I have even had it in the 50”s

I have the Sam problem of low blood pressure and had an ablation 7 months ago and also have been on 50 milligrams of flecainide and 5 milligrams of elliquis. I have had three episodes of afib since that I have taken an additional 50 mg. of flecainide and it works. My Dr. wants to insert a LINQ System to continually monitor my heart. Not sure I want to commit to a device for three years when I am aware when I’m in AFIB. At the same time I hate taking these two pills twice a day. I’m 64 and in otherwise good health, walking 4 miles a day and staying active.
