Why do you have to wait 2-3 years for another scan? Just my opinion, I would think a year is good to see if there is improvement. Two to three years sounds late in the process if it’s getting worse or staying the same.

My rheumatologist didn’t want me taking Stronium. She said it was like putting shellac on the surface of the bone, didn’t really help with the strength. I’ve also read where it can skew the DEXA readings. Like you, I want to try to improve my bone health without taking meds. In fact, my dentist very empathetically told me not to take them. I take a LOT of supplements because, even though I eat healthy, it’s a restrictive diet due to me having Sjogerns syndrome. I eat mostly meat, vegetables and fruit. I’m seeing a functional medicine Dr for help and advice.
