Initial consultation at a Mayo Clinic

Would like to get my husband to Mayo/Rochester or Jacksonville for NP. Looking for input on how difficult it is to get an appointment on your own. I have heard they might not take you because they are so busy

I called and did the intake about two weeks ago for Jacksonville, and they told me their waitlist is three years.

That’s terrible. I was really hoping to get him an appointment. I wonder if Rochester is just as difficult. Sorry you are experiencing the same issue

Try Rochester. I go there and it didn’t take that long.

Thank you I will!
We currently live in Florida but plan to move back to the Midwest so Rochester is definitely an option.

You need to apply. I applied in Nov 2019 and traveled there in Feb 2020 and frankly, you will not be disappointed. Plenty of places to stay nearby and Mayo Rochester is amazing. I was seen on a Monday, tests were lined up for Tues, Wed and Thur and had a meeting with neurologist on Friday. If you apply on behalf of your husband and they agree to see him, don't think twice about going.
Good luck.
