@jldavis823 - Your story is encouraging to many with PN and I'm glad you were able to pin down supplements that provide you with some relief, especially the pain. I also heard same findings at Cleveland Clinic. I have tried a variety of supplements and have not had any earth-shattering results. As you said, no med for a cure. But any relief is welcome!!
I tried a lot of things before I found the Cleveland Clinic study. Everyone either gives you PT or pain meds. I don’t want to live in pain meds and PT helped a little on balance but neither helped me as much as these supplements.
Thanks .very helpful, will try these supplements,
Same with me.
@jldavis823 - I am giving the two supplements you posted yesterday a try, we'll see how it goes, thanks for the info. Ed
This may not help with neuropathy, but strengthening your calves and shins can help your body maintain balance rather than falling. You should also practice getting up from the floor daily so you build those muscles, too. PT is also a good way to start, but I like Dr Jo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4UaKKEFODc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv__41ctwp8 I do a fair amount of these before bed to help with pins and needles, as well as toe to torso edema massage.
Thank you so much. Could you tell me what an edema massage is,please ? I have found,as of late that I can now gently rub my back, waist, legs, and feet without the agonizing pain that had previously accompanied just a touch. I still feel the terrible hurt 24/7 .

Saw your post and will try supplements. Thanks
Hi @eirrol -- I've had lymphedema massage many, many times. It was part of my physical therapy treatment after two different breast cancer surgeries. After lymph nodes are removed, you can be left with fluid build up from the lymphatic system not draining properly. Fluid building causes swelling and discomfort. With lymphedema massage, the physical therapist very gently massages skin to push the fluid along through the lymphatic system. I have neuropathy that can make touch very painful, but this was very relaxing it is so gentle. I'd have it every day if I could. A regular massage is excruciatingly painful to me. If you have fluid buildup, you might want to check into lymphedema massage. Your doctor would have to write an order for it. Hope you feel better soon. Lori
Yes, it definitely causes balances problems. I have them and so did my father.
