Dr Cline, Motility Specialist. Worked with him for year and a half. Yes, I liked him. But he specializes in gastroparesis, so suggested I see someone who deals more with colon. He had no more ideas. So I now see motility specialist at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Tried Penn in Philly. No opening until June 2024. Hopkins, not taking new patients. Mayo has program for motility and pelvic floor. That’s the only reason I considered going that distance. I live in NW PA.

Took me 7 months to get into Mayo Jacksonville in 2021 . I was on waitlist first 4 months . They they assigned me a Gastro Dr. I couldn’t just pick one . I had televisit first since 3 hrs away . Then scheduled tests for a few months out . 3 diff tests in 3 days .
Our lodging was expensive $$ plus the , 20 percent we had to pay for tests out of pocket .
He told me no more than I already knew from 5 prior Gastro Dr’s in FL and NC and all other tests .
So overall, I came away w/ nothing but bills 💵. Very frustrating.
I feel for you . I’m still suffering, 10 yrs now .
Hello. I had colonic inertia for over 15 years. I tried everything and finally last summer could no longer have a BM on my own. So, I saw a GI at Frist Clinic in Nashville TN. She tried different meds and ran tests and the conclusion was that surgery would benefit me and give me a better quality of life. I am 44. What I like about her is that she actually listens to me and takes me seriously. She doesn't just shrug me off. She referred me to a Colorectal surgeon who she trusts. I met him and he also ran tests and told me that surgery was my best option. So, in January I had a total colectomy with IRA. No bag. I am 9 weeks out from surgery and I am now having BMs on my own. My GI doctor is Dr. Anjali Shah with Frist Clinic in Nashville. Hope that helps. ❤️
Unfortunately, that particular surgery is not an option to me as I have other conditions that would cause complications. An ileostomy is my only surgical option, obviously a huge decision. I’m in the process of getting second opinions, just to be sure. I’m so happy that has worked out for you!
It appears that Mayo Clinic is overwhelmed with GI appointment requests. I’m sure the pandemic is part of the problem.
I first went there 12 years ago, continued on and off through 2015-16. As I was leaving my last appointment the doctor said -“ don’t let the door hit you on the way out”. A bit odd.
In all, I had excellent treatment.
2022 I requested a new appointment/ old issues returned. I also got the answer- sorry, you have access to good care where you live.
Also not true. With help from my Internist I have found a new GI doctor - I’m so far very impressed. He is also very busy.

I have a 30mm poly and could not get k to Mayo Rochester either no new appt
