I know a couple of years have past, so not sure you will see this. My 14 year old daughter began feeling the choking sensation in January of this year (2025). It stopped for 2 1/2 weeks and restarted and has not stopped since first week or so of February. She has an EOE diagnosis officially as of March of this year and we have the eating issues under control through diet. But the choking or globus sensation has not stopped and is debilitating. We saw an ENT, he was not helpful. She is on budensinide steroid and a PPI, they are not helping with the globus. She is on a severely restricted diet for almost 2 months now of eating just two foods to see if it is a food allergy. She had MRT testing to find foods causing inflamation. Is there anything new on your condition? I wish you well and hope you found a solution.

I did this so you can connect with others who are dealing with globus like @fue @beleza @callalloo and others.
Since you live in the midwest, have you thought of contacting Mayo Clinic or the Mayo Clinic Health System to find an ENT specialist closer to home? If you're interested in inquiring about an appointment, you can get started here: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
