Swollen urethra!!

I am a very active 69-year-old woman who cycles up to 200 miles a week. I had rectocele repair surgery done six weeks ago by a urogynecologist and since then have developed what I guess is an ongoing UTI not helped by three different antibiotics. I tested positive for gharderella vaginalis, which I’m told is BV but I don’t have all of those symptoms just the urgency and the burning. I’m about to start my fourth week with this issue. I have pee urgency, burning and aching and by mid afternoon, I’m lying on the couch with a heating pad. Needless to say, it’s really hard to get to sleep at night having to get up to make trips to the bathroom every five minutes the uro gynecologist has essentially washed her hands of me. Beyond having me stay off antibiotics this next week and come in and give another sample. I’m really worried that I now may have a chronic issue with UTIs or there is even an issue with the surgery. I have an appointment with the urology PA next week. Nothing seems to be swollen. I do feel one stitch sticking out, but can’t imagine that would cause these problems.

Hi sorry you are going though all that i'm afraid i will be be on cycle of different meds also.I got urine test results negative.I also get pee urgency with no burning also feel a little aching which seems to get worse afternoon and and night it will start up with feeling like my vagina burning the most annoying feeling have to use ice pack or heat pad when i go to bed!!Do you take a probiotic i have been taking for years. So i will be going to a gynecologist i will try and find a uro one.Unfortunately i think most doctors feel its in our heads.I was very happy before this doing my workouts walking and do yard work don't know if i did too much which might of caused a swollen urethra.Could the stitch be hitting something?
