What does your surgeon or GI doctor say? Had you followed the postopdiet & been okfoa bit? I am not a doctor, but you need to ask them. I’d be totally guessing, but perhaps it came loose. I don’t think anyone here would be able to help with your questions unless you give us some contacts with what the medical professionals are saying. Good luck sounds terrible.

Surgeon says he doesn't know "I am just a cutter but you have lost fat and muscle next is bone loss and then you won't survive. We need to figure it out." I am trying to get in to a GI specialist as of now I have never seen one. Primary Dr says she wants my gal bladder out and put me on pancreas meds for life and doesn't know beyond that.

Yikes sound complicated. Not sure why you has fundolplictiinsurgery with no gi dr involved (I can think of some) … but sounds like you need a better primary energy or a doctor to begin to explain what your actual diagnosis is to begin. A real treatment plan, but I’m not a doctor, so I can’t really help and then a direct way. good luck!

I agree that I am surprised that you were not sent to a GI doc first. If you do not have one, you should definitely get an appt. with someone well respected in your area, and let him go over your case, and see what he thinks is going on. I am so sorry for your situation. Please let us know how this progresses.

Hi @natefish, I agree with @cblue and @rosemaryhow that getting to see a gasterentologist is your first priority. It sounds like you've are working on that now. Did your primary care doctor make a referral for you?

While your issues may or may not be related to the Nissen Fundoplication, I thought you might like to review this related discussion:

I hope you get to see a GI specialist soon.

Yes my primary care has made the referral to the GI specialist. I have to wait for the VA to approve it. I truly believed that the surgeon was a specialist until a few months ago. Then I found out he is a general surgeon. I had none of these issues pre surgery. I am not saying he did anything wrong. Maybe the healing went poorly or scar tissue did something odd. I just know this is all new since then. End of June I should be able to get in if the VA gets it done by then
