Swollen and burning tongue for 5 months?
5 months ago, about 3 weeks after finishing 2 courses of broad spectrum antibiotics, I woke up with my tongue and chest burning. 12 doctors later and about a hundred tests showed nothing. Treated for thrush 4 times. Also, ferritin is low- about 11.
The pain is awful and constant. My tongue is very swollen, like sometimes hard to swallow things swollen. I do not fit typical BMS parameters bc you can see that my tongue looks depappilated in areas and the burning is all day long every day.
I am desperate for relief. Anyone?

This is what it looked like before thrush treatment
Have you had Covid? Look up Covid Tongue. You can also get thrush with Covid from meds. I hope this helps. I have battled thrush and other mouth issues since I had Covid. I am so sorry you are going through this. God bless you.
I have BMS. Many people in the Facebook group have geographic tongue. Have you looked into that?
For my experience what you need to do is drink alcohol or ice water after that use Palm canel oil with milk two two times daily mixed them together and drink it after two hours. Then use Amoxicillin or penicillin because they are frequently-used as antibiotics for strep throat,
What is BMS? Sorry to be so uninformed.
