i have that issue as well - but i have confirmed gastroparesis. The gas is from the food sitting and "rotting" (sorry i know - gross) in my stomach. i have found that GasX helps some. for me though it is a "relief" to belch because if i don't the gas is trapped in my stomach and causes aching pain. Do you have another other GI conditions - like acid reflux etc - have you had an upper GI study??

I had an endoscopy and barium swallow. Apparently a very small hiatal hernia but I had a zenkers diverticulum that was operated on. As for the belching no answers from the gastroenterologist.

Thank you Colleen. i have diagnosed gastroparesis - it happens when i eat anything that is harder to digest - any type of protein - even so the only protein i eat is salmon and very small amounts at a time 3-4 ounces. It seems that i off the menu now - not worth it.. It is still "sitting in my stomach' up to 12-14 hours after i eat it ...
For 10 years now , I deep wet belch over 700-1000 x a day and night . Tastes like gut lining or sewer water. They are huge belches too and my gut is always churning loud . I’ve seen 6 Gastro Dr’s , had over 20 tests done ✅ even went to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville 2 yrs ago for testing .
I have Gastritis, GERD , Esophagitis, Small hiatal hernia, small benign polyps on stomach lining , diverticulosis, ibs -d , and just recently had bloodwork again that shows some yeast in my gut . The functional medicine practitioner had be in Keto diet for 3 months and 3 diff expensive supplements from Metagenics. So far I actually feel worse (16 days in ). Plus my heart ♥️ PVC’s are kicking up sooooo bad last two weeks . It’s a horrendous way to live . I’ve done and tried everything, nothing helps .
I pray 🙏 you get the right Dr. To help figure you out .

I have this same problem and lying down relieves somewhat. I have had endoscopy and ultrasound and once no operable problem was found the gastro dismissed me with antacids! When occurring, I also have increased heart involvement such as PVCs and especially if I do anything that compresses my abdomen I feel like my heart is going to stop!

Hello Rosy, I'm so study about heading what you're going through, I had gastritis, gerd, barrets esophagus, suggests clearing my throat and always felt something stuck in my throat, hernia, belching hundreds of times and I went to see Dr Darido in Houston, he told me I had to do a nissen fundoplication surgery and he scheduled it within 2 weeks, recovery was very tough, but after almost 8 weeks I feel great! No more pain, no more acid reflux, no more belching, even though it took a while but I'm finally feeling great! Do a research and don't give up!
