Hi. I know it may sound like I'm questioning my doctors decision, but it's not that. Long story short I've been on 0.5 ativan for 1 year. During this year I've also taken 0.5 in the morning 2 times and tapered down 2 times also. Now I've started tapering the 0.5 i was taking in the evening (for 1 year), following my doctors tapering schedule. It consists of skipping 1 day 6 times(that means 1 day i take it, 1 day i don't for 6 times). Then i move to skipping it for 2 days x 6 times and so on.I'm wondering if it's not to fast? What should i expect? If anyone has been in a similar situation.Thank you all.

Hi. I’m on 1mg of lorazepam but want to titrate slowly. My Dr said to cut the pills but they are next to impossible to cut in an 1/8 or 1/4 as you they are small and long. He also said it’s the hardest one to come off of.

I took 4 mg for 8 days to get off lunesta now hooked on Ativan how can I get off or taper off

Thanks and will do

I took 4 mg for only a week 4 mg a day took sleeping pill to manage withdrawal and should have taken following 100 mg seroquel or less 1 mg Xanax try that look at seroquel

You are doing well sleeping and were not on big dose funny it is affecting cognitive functions get tested to be sure or if you have no. Benefit from it then your taper is a good guess

I was on 2mg Lore. since September 2022. Started my taper journey 7 days ago 11-17-25 at 1 1/2mg. When do I reduce amount again and by how much? Should I taper in 1 and a half week or two? How much 25% of 1 1/2mg or 25% original 2mg? I am confused but determined.

Call your Pharmacist! I was on Oxy, 10 mg 6 times a day for 1.5 years and I started to feel the effects of addiction ! It scared me and so I called mine and she gave me a schedule that was very fast and I had ZERO side effects!
