I keep having urine tests come back showing the presence of bacteria, but since I can't take oral antbiotics and the bacteria can't be identified by cultures the doctors are kind of ignoring the fact. I do see a kidney doc next week and plan on asking him about this.....I have chronic dehydration which the doctors are trying to decide on how to treat and decide if it is a part of the reason for the repeated UTIs. This is my first attempt to reply on this forum. I'm not sure what I'm doing but I did want to say that I also had a lot of Bladder infections and not sure why but I had Radiation a few years ago in that area and probably upset things from that. I just wanted to say that I started taking some Lugol's Iodine (a few drops in water daily) since last July and have never had another infection since. Kills bacteria everywhere.
