Antibiotics for NTM infection

Has anyone had hearing loss from arithzomycin ? Vision loss from ethambutol ? Anyone tried clofazamine?

I have experienced hearing loss from arithomycin, after one month . Muffled sounds now . Hearing aids not helpful
Is it irreversible ?

I got tinnitus and mild hearing loss from Azithromycin and because I'm still on it, I'm hoping it's reversible, but I have my doubts.

I was on Azithromycin for years for MAC. I had lots of tinnitus and hearing issues. I’ve been off it for a few years now and just realized I no longer have those horrible symptoms. Hopefully that gives you a bit of peace of mind. irene5

Yes, I noticeded tinnitus after 2 months on this med. Conscious of it mostly in the quiet early hours. Used to it but hoping it goes when I finish meds. I'm on clofazamine, Azithromycin and Ethanbutol for NTM / MAC
