Angela - The double diagnosis of MAC and cancer must be really scary. The one bright spot - MAC is a slow-growing bacteria, so it is safe to wait to treat until after the cancer is managed.
I'm not a doc so can't tell you whether the nodules are from pneumonia or MAC, that is a question for your ID doc.
Good luck with your appointment- will you let me know what the doc advises?

Thank you for the information! I'm looking forward to my appointment with infectious diseases on tuesday. They got me in very quickly. I have read that a lot of times these cavities in the lung will collapse. I'm really hoping that's what happens with mine, because it's just so big.
I got your other message about the posts. I'm new to using these message boards so maybe I'm doing things wrong, I mean posting things the wrong way. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it after a while.
