Hi Colleen! I had TNBC in June of 2015, stage 1, surgery then chemo and radiation. I questioned this on each visit and looked at my relatives for some answers as I was 65 when diagnosed. Decided to to do genetic testing based on relatives and found out I’m BCRA2. So this presented more decisions.... Fallopian tubes and ovaries removed late Nov 2017 and bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction Sept 2018. Currently doing very well and looking forward to surgery in April to place the implants.
I am loving the idea of reviving this post from the past, and providing some information about advances in breast cancer surgery. It has certainly come a long way, and there are always questions about surgery options.
