I am sorry you are in so much pain. I know what that is like. I endured it for a while until my neurologist put me on pregabalin ie Lyrica and Nortriptyline ie Aventyl. Now I have no pain but the pins and needles and numbness remains in my hands and feet. While, this is annoying, I will tolerate this any day when there is no pain. My doctor told me the pain would come back fast if we tried slowly going off this. Hope this helps you.

6 ReactionsThank you for your reply. If I can afford getting over there once a week I would. I live in Palm Springs. But it's a good suggestion. If I can't go there I might look into a similar treatment close by. There is hope for us. You gave me hope by just this suggestion. Thank you and I hope the best for you.

2 ReactionsHow did a practitioner cause you to get neuropathy?
Get prepared if having TKR, it does cause foot neuropathy and
from my experience, is not normally mentioned by surgeons. In
fact, the surgeon for my first knee, supposedly one of the best,
denies it’s even a possibility. That was BS.
When I had my second knee done, by another surgeon, he advised
me without asking that foot neuropathy could be a side effect.
After meeting with a general surgeon, post-surgery, he confirmed
absolutely that foot neuropathy post-surgery is an issue.

4 ReactionsI have never considered nerve damage from surgery to be neuropathy. As the recipient of 9 orthopedic surgeries, it has always been mentioned as a possible side effect and it did happen to me on surgery #5 where I lost feeling to my first 3 toes. 33 years later I have regained most feeling there - I guess time does heal some wounds.
Here is what Mayo says about nerve injury: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/peripheral-nerve-injuries/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20355632
