Thank you for expanding and sharing this for me. Yes, we will be going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester as soon as they can schedule all the appointments for us. We do have offers from two family members to be donors but that's as far as it has gone so far. We're essentially taking one day at a time so as not to make this what defines our everyday life. Hopefully that day will come soon enough.

I understand how overwhelmed you must be feeling. I had my transplant at Mayo Rochester in 2009. My husband was my caregiver, and since we live at a distance we stayed in Rochester. I can assure you that you will receive the best possible care and treatment at Mayo. The needs of the patient comes first IS evident the moment you enter!

I hope that you will soon get your appointment and a schedule for your husband's evaluation.
