High Jugular Vein
I was just diagnosed with this and looking for any and all info on the subject please. How were you diagnosed? Treatment plan? ENT or vascular? What were your symptoms? Any and all help appreciated. Thank you.

@2young460, while we wait for others to chime in, I'm wondering if you can share a bit more about your story. How was you high jugular vein discovered? What symptoms is it causing for you?
Last May, I started having episodes that I can only describe as a drunk stagger. I would lose my balance but was not dizzy. I also had this episodic pressure rising and lowering in my head along with pulsatile tinnitus. I have had tinnitus since my 20's but the pulsing was new.
I saw every doctor and had every test done with no diagnosis. Last week, I caught a cold that created enough fluid in my head to induce severe vertigo. First time in my life I have ever had that. It was so bad that I was admitted to the hospital. They ran an MRI (had one done last year also), and the doctor that read this MRI saw the high riding jugular bulb and said this was probably the source of everything. Whoever read the previous MRI from a different facility missed this.
Update: I saw another neurotologist who told me that there is nothing to worry about with a high riding jugular bulb. My symptoms are unrelated.
