@scardycat, the injection IS painful, but that pain gets better. My hand overall is less painful now than it was. There is a solution, and that is surgery to go in and cut the tendon. My guess is that I will still need the surgery since the tendon appears to have shortened more since the injection. But at least I am not in constant pain with it at this point. Stay strong.
