Anyone taking Lumakras (sotorasib)?

Hi! I am just curious if anyone is taking Lumakras. If you are what have your side effects been? How long have you been on it?
Thank you!

@schmeeckle64, I believe fellow members @lls8000 @rlogan and @nae may have experience with Lumakras (sotorasib).

Has this been suggested for you?

Hi!, I am on a different inhibitor (alectinib) for ALK positive lung cancer, stage IV.
Have you started this med? I hope you are doing well, with minimal side effects, and the meds are effective for you for a long time. The inhibitors can be a great benefit for quality of life, and extending our lives, but it’s never long enough.
More research is needed!
Take care, Lisa

Thank you for your response. I have been on Lumakras for a year now. The only side effect that I am having right now is diahrea. Usually it is just in the monrning. Really odd. I also have stage IV lung cancer. Can you please share with me what kind of treatments you have had so far and how long you have been diagnoised? Totally agree with you, more research is needed. Wishing you the best! Christie

Good morning Christie, when I was diagnosed almost three years ago I started taking alectinib right away. The drug quickly cleared up all of the symptoms that I was having from the cancer, it was amazing. I do have some side effects from the drug (gastrointestinal ups and downs, general spaciness, etc.) but nothing intolerable. I know the drug won’t be effective forever, but for now it’s allowing me to live a good life.
Take care, Lisa
