Hello everyone, i have atrial fibrillation at least that is what the cardiologist tol me, i was having a lot palpitation on and off, he prescribed xarelto rivaroxaban 20mg every night, of course am not to pleased, my problem is that i have a referral for a colonoscopy so of course for 5 days no blood thinner how safe is
it to have colonoscopy specially for 5 days not taking the blood thinner, i do appreciate an anser, maybe someone has/had the same problem, ty

I have been taking Eliquis for AFib for several years. This was ordered by my cardiologist. I was diagnosed June 2022 with ET JAK2. My hematologist told me I do not need to take aspirin because I am on a blood thinner.

When I had knee replacement surgery I had to be off Eliquis for three days before. No problem. Eileen

I have the sane question. So far refused to do it. Afraid of the bleeding and being off of heart meds. And problem with last colonoscopy and ended up with bowl retraining program. I am 80
