Does anyone have experience with Mirtazapine?

I saw my PCP today, and asked her about reports of insomnia with higher doses. I've read that here as well as on other websites. She said it does happen with some people, and gave me the choice of staying at this dose or increasing it. I don't do well with coping with my pain when I don't sleep, so I'm going to give the higher dose a whirl.

It's hard enough to deal with insomnia without pain, let alone with it. The question here is whether sedation effect is negatively or positively correlated with doze -- does sedation increase or decrease with higher doze?
If it varies by person it's hard to decide.
You can try 30 and if does not help, try 7.5.
