Your blood numbers on the CBC are all in the normal range but your kidney GFR number is quite diminished. You’re seeing a nephrologist so I’m expecting they are aware of the decrease in function and it’s not the cause of your feeling so poorly…though it maybe collateral damage of whatever is causing your illness.

However, Kappa/Lambda light chain ratio is quite elevated. Kappa/Lambda free light chain serum test is a blood test that checks for high levels of certain proteins in your blood. Elevated free light chains might mean you have a plasma cell disorder. Along with the Immunoglobulin G also being higher than normal, this really warrants more action from your hematologist.
I don’t mean to alarm you but this can indicate a more serious transition from MGUS. You are right, MGUS doesn’t go away and can develop into other conditions such as Multiple Myeloma. If your hematologist is cavalier about these light chain results, saying ‘you’re fine’ when you are feeling so ill, it’s time to get another opinion.
