I have that mucus too I thought was from my lungs but it's my sinus. I've coughed some up and it thick thick white mucus.

I am thinking that thick white mucus may be from irritation in your lungs. You could try Mucinex (pure guaifenesin with no other ingredients) to help thin it. Then use your incentive spirometer and a little exercise to get it moving so you can cough it out. If it stays in your lungs it becomes a breeding ground for germs.

Hi @robman ! I have that exact same thick white mucous and wondered if mucinex is good for it.
