Stimwave user here: What's been your experience?
Like most of us, I did not want a battery implant so I went with Stimwave scs. Its been permanently placed on my spine about 10 days ago. I do feel a little less pain, but my right foot nerve pain still prevents me from sleeping normal hours, preparing home meals and doing normal tasks. I am disappointed. I was hoping for more relief. My worst pain bursts went from 10 to 9. Plus, I still need pain pills.

Dear LoriRenee. I echo the words of caution about Kratom use as it can do more harm than good for people. All the evidence you need is easily accessible by googling Mayo clinic and Kratom. Be well, Johnmacc

1 ReactionYes, I used a TENS unit a few years ago. I got it through Medicare and/or BCBS, my secondary, at no cost. It helped a small amount. But when you are desperate you will put up with a lot of downsides. The downsides are in getting it put on and weak relief. Ultimately, I quit and just relied on medicines. But recently I did the spinal cord stimulator trial which really helped a lot. I am currently awaiting permanent placement and I’m really excited about it! Gayle

2 ReactionsI took about 8 weeks (2x/wk) electro-stim treatments from my podiatrist on my feet. He put pads on my feet and legs and turned on the juice for about 30 minutes. He also put infra-red pads on them.
I thought it was helping until I had to leave town for our yearly trip.in our motorhome. My neuropathy still flares up at night. Feels good when walking...but at night it burns and itches. I use 2-300.mg Gabapentin, a couple puffs of marijuana, and lie still listening to a podcast to fall asleep. It may not cancel the pain, but it takes your mind off it so you can sleep.

3 ReactionsHi Gayle, which SCS (spinal cord stimulator) did you try? Boston Scientific, Abbott or Nevro? I'm happy that got relief with the trial. Let's hope the permanent one gives you the same amount or better pain relief. Marty

1 ReactionHi I was wondering did you get a script for the marijuana and then where did you purchase it?
I was thinking that a few puffs at night before bedtime could help me too.
Thanks
Jack

1 ReactionWe're from Montana where it is legal. I don't use medical marijuana. We make a trip to Washington every once in a while where it is cheaper. You need to pick a legal state and make a trip. We're in a motorhome presently in Texas heading east. We topped off our supply in Arizona before we left for "the South" if ya know what I mean!

Thanks and good luck,
